Dr. Vaani has answered it all, have a look:   To avoid stretch marks: One could massage the affected area with vitamin E, 1% cream (e.g. Evion). Aloe Vera gel could be applied over stretch marks twice a day. These simple steps if started while the stretch marks are appearing can keep a check on their further development.   Some clinical therapies done under dermatological supervision can be helpful in treating it. They are listed below:   Microdermabrasion: This is a technique that lightens the striae by flattening them out. In this the stretch marks are polished which makes stretch marks softer, lighter and less visible. 8-12 sessions once a week can be helpful. Besides, multiple sessions with chemical peels can also help lighten stretch marks. The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) recommends laser or light therapy as the only proven way to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks.   Laser therapy: It is one of the newest treatments for stretch marks that appear to be effective in reducing their appearance. Pulsed dye lasers and intense pulsed light can reduce  the appearance of stretch marks and increase collagen production over time. These treatments are performed by a plastic, cosmetic, or a skin surgeon.
