  The Indian festive season has acquired an exclusive position for itself among India’s different fashion seasons. Designers have responded marvelously to this change in perception and continue to cater to the desires of the consumers. The ethnic wear designs for the festive season are created to suit the needs of the modern Indians, keeping in mind the distinct Indian flavour that needs to be added.

  • The Indian traditional season directly evaluates to shades of red, orange and gold. These bold colours not only elevate the overall ambience but also makes their bold presence feel luxurious.
  • Live coral has been the colour of the season- usually seen with complemented by hues of light red and pink.
  • Bridal wear has taken much inspiration from the Indian spice box with colours of mustard, red, brown and bottle green; splatted gracefully across bridal creations.
  • Unmistakably, for the men’s section power pink and purple have quickly acquired a popularity to create fashion statements. Calm pastel coloured Indo-western coats and jackets look both contemporary and elegant and are trending incredibly with all ages to flaunt. Patterned jackets, especially for young boys, have made an appearance too.

  • Go all out this season and tick this much-wanted look off your bucket list- palazzos (or butterfly pants) with a vividly cut silhouette. Up your style quotient by pairing heavily embroidered crop tops with palazzo pants or jeggings to be comfortable and stylish this season.
  • Floor length anarkalis and dupattas used as turbans teamed up with Pakistani pants or three-quarter pants that display some intricate crochet work can also be a good option. Gowns which exhibit intricate Zardozi work will positively catch a few eyes in awe.
  Taking inspiration from other cultures Indian ethnic fusion has been introduced with muted bandhgalas, Chinese neck waistcoats and British pinned inspired sherwanis. Other hot picks of the season include comfortable lungi or dhoti paired with a smart Chinese-collared sherwani or kurta and Jodhpuri pants, as they are famously called pathanis.

  • Designers are opting for more structured fabrics which not only provides a great fit but also visually looks rich too.
  • Other than this, georgettes and raw silk are widely used—in rustic shades.
  • ’Bandhni’ traditionally from Gujrat, has re-entered the markets making it a must-have fabric to incorporate this season.

  • With the introduction of digital print, designers now incorporate historic motifs, with the bold sharpness that geometric prints provide, in their designs.
  • Our trustworthy tie-and-die and block prints are very much trendy this season.
  • Embroideries- heavy usage of gotazari and zardozi have been seen.
  • Embellishments include crystals smattered on garments for a glam effect. Beads and patches combined with the traditional mango motif is also a hot pick this season.
