Selection Day: With an increasing base in India, Netflix is launching an Indian original. This series is written by Booker Prize winner Arvind Adiga of ‘The White Tiger’ fame. It exploits the threads that link cricket and corruption in Mumbai.
Again: If supernaturalism and detective stories are your cuppa, this is your thing. ‘Again’ is about a female detective, investigating a murder, finds out that this case is related to older cold-cases. It is written by Quantico’s Marisha Mukerjee.
Sanrachana: This series takes a look at India’s glorious past and civilization. Each magnificent structure and the buildings of yore has a story to tell. Definitely a must-watch for all history buffs.
Sacred Games: This one, is a Netflix Original in India. Saif Ali Khan plays Sartaj Singh, who is cop past his prime. This series is based on an adaptation of Vikram Chandra’s 2006 book ‘Sacred Games’ which is about Mumbai underbelly pitted against its meteoric economic growth. This might just prove to be the game-changer in Saif’s career.
