A Glimpse of Rajasthan Day, an unique celebration of the Land of Royals!

Rajasthan Day – a celebration of Indian culture

 

India is a land of diversity. Every State has a different story, a different culture, and a different history and heritage. Every place is unique in its own way. Today, we will tell you something unique about the State which has some of the most beautiful and princely cities in the country, including the ‘Pink City’ of India.

Rajasthan holds a prime importance in the history of India and a strategic State in terms of Indian culture and tourism. Every aspect of this State, from architecture to artistry, from food to apparels, from handicrafts to hospitality, everything about Rajasthan is royal, majestic and grand. The charm and the charisma of the place is so captivating and it is what makes it to the traveler’s list of must-visit places.

Every year, Rajasthan celebrates the formation of the State on March 30th. In 2017, they celebrated the 68th Rajasthan Day. It is a 4-day event from March 27th till 30th, showcasing the different traditions and beauties of the State.

This celebration marks the anniversary of the creation of Greater Rajasthan, a union between the Princely states of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Jaipur in the year 1948, which was inaugurated and commemorated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

 

The event focuses on different aspects of the State and features them. They showcase and celebrate everything about Rajasthan – right from food to handicrafts, sports to dance and music and a lot more over the span of the event. This pulls a lot of crowd from different parts of India as well as from across the globe. The State puts up a grand show and promotes tourism as well.
