No one can ignore the importance of public speaking these days and it is increasing day by day. Stage fear is a backlog in your path of success these days so here are some of the ways of how to overcome stage fear:-
Reach on Time-
Reach the venue on time. Even if you don’t have stage fear, you might panic if you reach the place late and might even forget your speech.
Know Your Audience-
Enquire about the audience whom you are about to address and modify your speech accordingly. If you see the disinterested audience, it demoralizes you so make your speech interesting.
Take deep breaths and smile to the fullest before you step on the stage. Listen to your favorite music and relax your mind.
Laugh Out Loud-
Watch some funny videos on your phone, crack some jokes with your peers or play with kids or an animal. Laughter is the best medicine and it helps to overcome stage fear as well.
Memorize the Text-
Preparation is needed to improve public speaking skills. Learn the text and keep backup points handy. When you know what you have to speak, you can even go for improvisation.
Don’t go Empty Stomach-
Hunger gives rise to panic and nervousness. If you are stuck in traffic and get hungry while reaching the venue, have fruit or juice before stepping on the stage.
Talk to the Audience-
When you are not able to remember what to say next, ask questions from the audience to set an atmosphere of discussion. Discussion makes you calm and gives time to remember your forgotten speech.
Print the keywords of your speech in huge fonts and keep them on the podium. This helps you remember the next point of your speech and stay confident.
